Alpaca Scarf Weaving Workshop

TWO DAY WORKSHOP

Saturday, February 8th and Sunday, February 9th
11am to 3pm
Mottainai Santa Fe

Join Sedona for a cozy, creative weekend where you'll weave a winter scarf from soft alpaca yarn that can also be worn as a small shawl or bandana. Perfect for absolute beginners and anyone curious about trying a meditative craft, this workshop focuses on experimenting with fuzzy fibers, fringe, and intuitive on-loom design. By the end of the weekend, you'll have a versatile bandana-style scarf and new weaving friends!

Over two relaxing days, we’ll set intentions, connect with the rhythm of weaving, and enjoy complimentary snacks. On Day 1, we’ll begin weaving on pre-warped rigid heddle looms. After giving our hands and minds a break overnight, we’ll continue on Day 2, finishing the weaving, joining our pieces, and tying the fringes.

This experience is perfect for those looking to:

  • Create a wearable, handmade keepsake

  • Spend quality time with friends or family

  • Explore a calming, creative craft

  • Try weaving for the first time

No prior experience is needed, and all materials are provided and looms are pre-set with your choice of yarn. Just bring your curiosity and enjoy a weekend of creativity, connection, and fun.
