Shibori Dyeing with Indigo

Join Angela Cefaratti of Mottainai and Annie Murchy of Rancho de las Golondrinas for a beginner's workshop on the art of Shibori dyeing using natural indigo.

Make your old fabrics new again! Shibori, a Japanese technique similar to tye dye, originated over 1300 years ago. Traditionally using indigo dye on hemp fabric, it gained popularity as a way to renew faded, stained and damaged clothing. Sounds like mottainai to us!

BYOC Bring Your Own Cotton: Limited to 2 small items. Think pre-washed white or light colored 100% cotton t-shirt, bandana or tote bag. There will also be a selection of vintage cotton available for purchase.

*Shibori can be messy, and stain (it's fabric dye, duh) please dress accordingly.
